Puri - an Introduction




Among the people of India it is difficult to find one who haven't seen the sea of Puri, where Bay of Bengal touches the east coast of Orissa . The length of sea beach extends for 482 Km . Purvaghat mountain range stands in the west side . River Mahanadi and Brahmani forms the lifeline of Orissa . Orissa is named as " Land for all regions ". The tribal people of Orissa is one of its major attraction .
Puri is famous for its 7 Km long marvelous coastal sea beach and of course for its Lord Jagganath temple . There can be no comparison of the Indian " Brighton " the sea of Puri . The other major attraction of Puri is Lord Jagganath temple or " Srikhetra ".
